Administration building SonninKontor, Hamburg |

In the “SonninKontor” – only a stone’s throw away from the city centre and HafenCity – four tax offices of the Hanseatic city found a new home.
The office complex along Nordkanalstraße is divided into three parts, which are designed as separate “houses”, each with its own materiality and façade design, and thus have a small-scale urban “grain”. The eight-storey building ensemble with a total rental area of 20,000 sqm was completed at the end of 2016.

Sustainable location and building structures
Due to a significant reduction in space compared to the previous locations, the merger of the four tax offices also resulted in rental savings. Synergy potentials result above all from the centralisation and joint use of archives, mailroom, material storage, library and meeting rooms.
The client and project developer is AUG. PRIEN Immobilien. The investment volume for the “SonninKontor” is around 70 million euros.

Comb-like basic form creates inviting courtyard areas
LA’KET Architekten and agn leusmann are responsible for the architectural designs of the “SonninKontor”. The office complex along the Nordkanalstraße is divided into three parts, which are designed as separate “houses”, each with its own materiality and façade design, thus creating a small-scale urban “grain”. In the south, the comb-like basic form of the ensemble creates inviting open courtyard areas. Here, two bridge structures on the 2nd and 7th floors connect the side wings with the central wing and form a spatial and functional conclusion. Excerpt DEAl Magazine
